For Mixology Monday this month I take a look at the delicious Mr. Antoni, a cocktail based on the Penicillin from Sam Ross that uses the very special Paradyswijn Genever in place of Scotch whisky.
This month Mixology Monday features amaros – bitter liqueurs traditionally from Italy that are drank after dinner over ice. The Berlioni is a delicious Negroni variation that uses Cynar, an unusual amaro that is flavoured using artichoke lending it a distinct vegetal note.
For Mixology Monday this month we’re asked to look at superior twists. The Last Word is already an unusual, complex and delicious mixture, but Phil Ward’s Final Ward takes it one step further to make a truly superior twist.

This is an interesting subject for me as many of my friends don’t really drink cocktails, and trying to get them to like decent cocktails is a long, uphill battle I’ve been waging for several years.

Eager to find a new discovery I take a look at the Frisco Sour, an interesting mixture of Bourbon and Bénédictine that uses plenty of citrus resulting in a drink definitely deserving its sour name.
