Hendrick’s Croquet Competition
This week sees Bar 08 hit London and Hendrick’s gin helped kick off events today with the Annual Hendrick’s Bartender Croquet Competition, which saw bartenders and cocktail illuminati from across the globe pitted against one another armed only with wooden mallets and balls. Luckily the London weather held out, and a sunny afternoon was enjoyed by all with Hendrick’s G&Ts, Aviations and Gin Sours helping lubricate proceedings.
At the event I finally got a chance to meet up with Herrs Berg und Meyer, Travelling Mixologists and creators of the wonderful The Bitter Truth empire. Whoever said Germans lack a sense of humour clearly has not met these two men! Sadly they only made it as far as the semi-finals, but there is always next year, when I will be sure to be as suitably dressed as everyone else was…

Craig, I believe the US competition already took place last month in New York – however I suggest we lobby Hendrick’s for a cocktail bloggers croquet competition at next years Tales!
