About Oh Gosh!
Hello and welcome. My name is Jay Hepburn and I’m a twenty-something cocktail enthusiast from London, England. I work in the world of IT, and in my spare time like to socialise with friends, watch films (particularly classic and foreign films from the first half of the 20th century) and, of course, drink cocktails.
My interest in cocktails began several years ago at University, with sickly-sweet concoctions made with pre-mixes and cheap spirits in equally sickly and cheap pubs. From these dubious beginnings I have slowly learned more about the art of the cocktail, and along the way discovered many wonderful drinks from Manhattans and Martinis to Aviations and Sidecars.
Named after one of my favourite cocktails, the Oh Gosh, this site charts my self-education in cocktails and mixology as I discover fresh cocktails and learn new techniques for making delicious drinks.
